The Callista Group of Dendrobiums

Plants in this group have short to tall, angular pseudobulbs, often somewhat swollen near the top. Leaves are evergreen and leathery. All species experience a winter dormant period. In some species this can be many months. Once growth starts, development is very rapid. Species in this group include Den. lindleyi (aggregatum), Den. chrysotoxum, Den. densiflorum, Den. farmeri, and Den. thyrsiflorum.

Plants are adapted to warm, humid summers with moderate, cool winters

Need medium light levels

Dry winter rest is critical to good flowering

some species need cool to cold winters as well. If plants don't flower, try cooler winter temperatures.
