Luisia-trichorrhiza-2022-08-21 *SITF confirms this plant is Luisia trichorhiza, not Luisia trichorrhiza (Mar 2023).

Kew's Plants of the World On-line (POWO) accepts the spelling of this species as Luisia trichorhiza; most reference sources spell the species as L. trichorrhiza; this plant matches the description and keys to Luisia trichorhiza in King & Pantling's 1898, "The Orchids of the Sikkim-Himalayas"; matches the form in most available photos (OW, IOSPE, orchidroots, etc.), but appears to be variable in color.

Macroclinium-xyphophorus-2022-08-20 *SITF has confirmed this plant as Macroclinium xiphophorus (May 2023).

Although many sources call this Macroclinium xyphophorus, Kew's POWO accepts this as M. xiphophorus. This plant exhibits some spotting on the rugose leaves, whereas its close relative, M. wullschlaegelianum leaves are not spotted; the flowers and plant form are an excellent match to photos in the IOSPE, OW and orchidroots.com; Notylia xiphophorus is considered synomynous with M. xiphophorus. The "Native Colombian Orchids, Vol. 6, pg 872 contains comparison photos of M. xiphophorus and M. wullschlaegelianum.
