Five flowers, four buds, and one emerging bud on two upright racemose inflorescences up to 102 cm and a third immature inflorescence; plant, consisting of one mature growth comprised of a 2cm wide by 49.5 cm long plicate, linear-lanceolate, smooth-edged leaf borne on a 9.5 cm petiole and one additional emerging four-leaved new growth, grown in terrestrial mix in a 28 cm clay pot; sepals light magenta, darker magenta veins; petals light magenta, darker magenta on reverse; trilobed lip deep magenta, yellow overlaid dark magenta stripes centrally, five prominent yellow calli, central callus extends to center of deeply cleft midlobe; column magenta; anther cap white spotted black; substance medium; texture crystalline; recognized as a unique terrestrial rare in cultivation; native to Ecuador ; confirmed by SITF
