One flower and two buds on three inflorescences arising from the base of a 16 cm tall plant grown in a 10 cm tree fern pot; plant caespitose, consisting of 2 cm wide x 3 cm tall ovoid pseudobulbs, each bearing a single 5 cm wide x 13.5 cm long ovoid leaf; sepals white, suffused and striped maroon; petals minute, almost thread-like, central maroon longitudinal stripe; club-shaped lip lemon yellow heavily stippled and suffused dark maroon medially and distally, complete lack of spots at apex of lip creates an attractive and pleasing contrast; substance medium; texture crystalline; awarded as an attractive and previous unrecognized species from a diverse genus of orchids; native to New Guinea ; confirmed by SITF
