Thirteen flowers and seven buds on 16 inflorescences up to 1.6cm long in a fascile at base of leaf, spathe 0.5cm long, dry, light brown; plant growing in a 9cm plastic pot with a fine bark mixture, longest ramicaul 0.2cm wide x 10cm long, semi-arched, terete, red-brown, dry brown sheath on proximal one-third, largest leaf 2.2cm wide x 10cm long, dark green blushed maroon, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical; flowers deep red-purple, pendulous; sepals fleshy; lateral sepals fused proximal one-half; petals appressed to column, pale yellow heavily overlaid red-purple on proximal two-thirds, minutely denticulate apex; lip fleshy, central groove, minutely denticulate apex; column erose on distal apex; anther cap yellow; ovary 0.4cm long, ocher; terete, ribbed longitudinally; substance firm; texture crystalline; species from southern Ecuador; ID by SITF _____________.

Hi Bryon,
I have looked at it again as I had a feeling that I had seen that thing before, but was not sure where and when. I decided to go through all Aciantheras and found it! It is a specimen of Acianthera zumbae. I have attached an illustration of A. zumbae. A perfect match!
