One of the judges on the team, questioned this as a true species since there were five flowers. This plant is a selfing of a plant off of a tree belonging to Ursula Ploch in Venezuela, and was colchicine treated.
Description:
Five nicely-arranged, nearly flat alba flowers on one cut inflorescence; sepals broadly elliptical, tipped green; petals broadly lanceolate, distal margins undulate; lip midlobe round, bifurcate, margins dentate, gently ruffled slightly reflexed, proximal yellow stripe radiates from column, along central granulose ridges, side lobes enclose column; column and anther cap white; substance firm; texture crystalline.
