SITF has confirmed this is Specklinia brighamii (July 2018).

Thirteen connate flowers and four buds on 17 up to 5.2cm thin inflorescences that can carry flowers in succession ;plant 5.0 cm tall by 11.0cm wide mounted on a 12.5cm by 5.0 cm wood-slab; sepals olive-green, mahogany stripes darker on reverse, dark mahogany overlay on basal third ; dorsal sepal hooded, lateral sepals connate to half forming what basically is a bi-apex synsepal; petals minute, too small to measure; bright yellow, mahogany marks; tongue-shaped lip, mahogany, yellow patina centrally; column and anther cap yellow; substance firm; texture waxy; a beautifully colored form of a highly variable species ; per WCSPF natural distribution is from Southern México to Ecuador and the Caribbean; provisionally awarded as Specklinia brighamii (S.Watson) Pridgeon & M.W.Chase, Lindleyana 16: 256 (2001); Franco Pupulin, who was present at the show tentatively verified the species, sent to SITF per the handbook; pending final taxonomic verification by SITF.
