Chelonistele-maximae-reginae-Lindinhas-Whiskers--CHM-86-2021-06-16***Confirmed as Chelonistele maximae-reginae (Jun 2021); the cover photo of the issue of Blumea, where this is published, is an exact match for this plant; very good match to the description and photo in the IOSPE; three photos in Orchidroots.com are all almost exact replicas of this plant; the species shows very little variability in the flowers.***

Awarded As: Chelonistele maximae-reginae 'Lindinha's Whiskers' CHM 86

Unique plant we purchased for J&L orchids (as "Chelonistele species") in 2012 or so from our records and tag. Never bloomed until now but it enthralled us with it's beautiful emerging liver colored growths that turn into hard green succulent leaves. Awesome clustered, compact growth habit. Inflorescences are incredibly well presented as they emerge upwards and naturally cascade down with this first blooming holding up to 7 flowers.
