Four self-pollinating flowers and eight buds borne over two erect inflorescences, longest 0.3cm wide x 48cm long, terete, green, emerging from the axil of one 6.5cm wide x 26.5 cm lanceolate acuminate leaf on a herbaceous terrestrial plant; flowers generally white overlaid lilac; sepals white overlaid darker lilac superiorly lightly blushed lilac on inferior surface; petals white lightly blushed lilac more heavily blushed lilac on bottom margin, cupped with dorsal sepal to form hood; lip white overlaid lilac trilobed with deeply notched midlobe, spur white overlaid lilac basally overlaid dark green distally 0.2cm wide x 2.8 cm long; column white overlaid purple with rostellum anthers black; ovary green, ridged longitudinally, 0.3cm wide x 5.0 cm long; sheath encircling ovary green, 0.8cm wide x 2.7cm long; substance light; texture lightly crystalline; fragrance noted; species from Madagascar; ID by SITF _______________.
