Dendrobium-laterale-Cordelia-CHM/AOS-2021-05-28***Confirmed as Dendrobium laterale (May 2021); the photos of the whole plant show the inflorescences clearly originate from the bases of the pseudobulbs, which is the key characteristic of this species and unique within the Genus Dendrobium; an article in the March 1941 Orchids Bulletin includes the description and drawing, and notes the species is from Burma, now Myanmar.***

Twenty flowers and four buds on four inflorescences; four of 17 pseudobulbs flowering on a 4.5 cm x 10 cm cork mount; deciduous pseudobulbs ovoid, 2 cm; sepals and petals white heavily margined and suffused lilac purple; lip yellow green centrally, serrate margins amethyst purple; flowers well held above plant creating an attractive floriferous miniature display; native to Myanmar.
