Encyclia-gonzalezii-‘Irene’-CHM-2022-05-27-2022-05-22 *SITF has determined this plant to be Encyclia x verboonenii, not Encyclia gonzalezii (Feb 2023); this plant does not match the form of E. gonzalezii; the sepals and petals are more rounded on the apex and the lip form is not correct for E. gonzalezii; E. gonzalezii has rhomboid side lobes, which does not match this plant; E. x verboonenii is a natural hybrid between E. argentinensis and E. osmantha; flower size seems a little large at 3.2 vs, 2.0cm; supporting photos may be found in the IOSPE and OW.*
