One hundred-ten white flowers on 15 inflorescences bearing 10-15 flowers each borne on a caespitose, spreading plant grown vertically attached to a 4 cm diameter by 20 cm long tree log; some of the reed-type canes carry flowered offsets (keikis); sepals broad, linear lanceolate, acute; petals broad, linear-oblanceolate, obtuse, slightly oblique; lip explanate, trilobed, unguiculate, claw adnate to the column, side lobes explanate, midlobe relatively large, deeply retuse, the two lobules cuneate at the junction with the side lobes; very small yellow blotch under the column; hooded column; anther cap white overlaid yellow; substance firm; texture crystalline; awarded as Epidendrum centropetalum Rchb.f., Bot. Zeitung (Berlin) 10: 732 (1852);an albiflora form of the species; preliminary determination made by Franco Pupulin who was present at the judging; pending final determination by SITF.
