Gongora-amparoana-‘Irene’-CHM(Prov’l)-2021-06-20***Determined to be Gongora tridentata, not Gongora amparoana (Apr 2022); based on the profiles of the lips comparing G. amparoana and G. tridentata; the epichile of tridentata has three definite teeth on the apex and has a very narrow epichile in the profile view where G. amparaona has a very wide epichile distally in the side view; comparing the two forms of the epichiles, this flower most closely resembles G. tridentata; it also most closely matches G. tridentata in color and overall form; the description of G. tridentata is in Lindleyana Vol. 6, 1991; very good match to the photos in orchidroots.com; also matches the line drawing by Whitten and photo in the SOF.***
