Jumellea-stenophylla-2021-08-02

Jumellea-stenophylla-2021-08-02***SITF determined this plant to be Jumellea stenophylla (Aug 2022); the photos are not detailed enough to have absolute certainty in this determination when also distinguishing it from J. confusa; however, based on the spur length compared to J. stenophylla (9 cm) and J. confusa (12-13 cm); the spur length (10.2 cm) on this plant is much closer to J. stenophylla and the distinctive central keel in the claw of the lip matches the description in the 2006, "Angraecoid Orchids" by Stewart, et.al.; it also matches the description of J. gracilipes (synonym) in the 2009 Field Guide to the "Orchids of Madagascar" by Cribb & Hermans.***
