Masdevallia-lappifera-2022-07-20***SITF confirmed as Masdevallia lappifera (Jul 2022); M. lappifera is a distinctive member of the Coriaceae section of Masdevallia with variable degrees of dark purple spots on truncated segments; the segments of this species do not reflex like others and the sepaline tails often nearly meet at the tips;  the name of the species is based on the short, thick hairs on the lip, as can be seen on this plant; the plant matches online images of the species and illustrations in Luer's greenbooks.***
