One intriguing and charming flower and 2 buds prominently displayed on a single erect 10.4 cm inflorescence emerging from a rosette of light green variegated foliage grown in a 5.8 cm square plastic pot; sepals lavender, distinct red raspberry spots long margins, apple green line centrally; lip deeply trilobed, dark purple, broad, full, and rounded mid-lobe cordovan along distal margin, two symmetrical white markings begin as narrow lines at column ending in rhomboid eye spots surrounding their cordovan center, side lobes triangular, strongly reflexed from midlobe; column multi-hued on obverse, white speckled purple on inverse, prominently displayed and held perpendicular to lip in a hammer-like formation; substance firm; texture cyrstalline; recognized as a unique subspecies of a diverse and widely spread European species; subspecies native to Turkey, Greece, and Apulia (Italy); confirmed by SITF
