Phalaenopsis-pulcherrima-var-laotica-2021-09-06***Confirmed as Phalaenopsis pulcherrima (Laotian Form) (May 2022); it is incorrect to label this as var. laotica since this subspecies has not been formerly recognized taxonomically; it was formerly identified as Doritis pulcherrima f. laotica, but the subspecies was never transferred to Phalaenopsis, so it is synonymous with P. pulcherrima; the "Laotian form" of P. pulcherrima is distinguished from the type by its diminutive size; to separate this plant from the type, the label (Laotian Form) was added.***
