Twenty-six pale yellow flowers and 32 buds on 58 fascile rising from the apex of the ramicaul through a spathe and carries tubular floral bracts; ramicauls slender, erect, light green, enveloped basally by two closed tubular sheaths and another on the lower third, 0.2cm wide x 29cm long; leaf apical, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, ovate to narrowly ovate, acute, lightly acuminate, basally sessile and deeply cordate, 3.6cm wide x 8.6cm long, green; dorsal sepal with three veins, dusted mahogany central two-thirds, ovate, acute to subacute; midrib pale yellow; synsepal fused, four veins; margins dusted mahogany, acute to subacute; petals 1 veined, swept downward, dusted mahogany, narrowly triangular, denticulate; lip overlaid mahogany, thick, oblong ovate, apex obtuse with low subconical callus beneath column; column 0.2cm wide x 0.2cm long, pale green, anther cap yellow; ovary green, 0.1cm wide x 0.4 cm long, ribbed longitudinally; substance firm; texture waxy; species from Ecuador; ID by SITF ________________.
