Approximately 275 flowers and 35 buds on 17 inflorescences to 14-cm, emerging half way up the upper surface of leaves, arched attractively above the foliage, all around a 37-cm wide by 43-cm long by 25-cm high clean-leaved plant grown on 15-cm x 10-cm tree fern plaque; spatulate leaves up to 14-cm long to 2.8 cm wide; flowers dark red-brown, pendent, bell-shaped; sepals fused; petals and lip minute; substance firm; texture glossy; color form common in Costa Rica.

Only measurements recorded are the ns of flowers at 0.5 cm wide x 1.0 cm tall.
