I fell in love with orchids at 15 years old, when a friend of my father gave me a plant of C trianae. I started going to orchid shows more or less in 1968. Then I got married in 1974 and in 1975 started showing, together with my husband, José, in our first show. We did a card table and won first place and Best card table of the show! My husband passed away in 2008.
I became an AOS accredited judge in 2001 and have been the official photographer of the shows in Puerto Rico since 2009 and of the Puerto Rico Judging Center since 2010. I am also the Training coordinator of the PRJC. I love all orchids and try to grow a little of everything, but especially phalaenopsis and cattleyas.
