Awarded As: Epidendrum hondurense
I have this plant for a very long time. My understanding is that it was legally collected in Central American in the late 1960's. Originally labeled as Epidendrum densiflorum, which it was obviously not. Mr. Ron Parson put me in contact with Mr. Eric Hagstater who indicated that it is definitely Epidendrum hondurense. I have attached copies of documentation he provided to me. In addition he added "This species has at first flowering a simple raceme on a long peduncle which in successive years produces new racemes from the nodes of the peduncle and thus may look paniculate."
