IRA Charitable Rollovers (Qualified Charitable Distributions - QCDs):

If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to AOS. These gifts count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and can reduce your taxable income while immediately supporting the Society’s mission.

Beneficiary Designations:

Naming AOS as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or brokerage account is an easy way to make a future gift—without affecting your assets during your lifetime.

Bequests:

One of the simplest and most meaningful ways to leave a legacy is by including AOS in your will or trust. Whether you designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other bequests are fulfilled, your gift will help ensure that orchid education, conservation, and appreciation continue for future generations. A bequest costs nothing during your lifetime but creates a lasting impact on the orchids and community you cherish.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities:

Donating stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have increased in value can provide immediate tax advantages while supporting AOS. This allows you to avoid capital gains taxes and potentially receive a charitable deduction, all while making an immediate impact.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Grants:

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant to AOS today as part of your charitable giving strategy. You can also name AOS as a beneficiary of your DAF to continue your support well into the future.
