Finding
SITF has determined this plant to be Brassia cf. andreettae (Feb 2026). This plant is very large, especially the leaf length, for a Brassia andreettae and more like B. keiliana; however it has many other traits comparable to B. andreettae. B. andreettae leaves per Baker and Baker are up to 26 cm long by about 0.6 cm wide. This plant has leaves up to 50cm x 3cm; however, the flower form, color, and inflorescence shape all favor B. andreettae. B. kieliana generally has a band of color right below the callus. This plant does not. Also, B. keiliana is South American, including Venezuela and Colombia and Guyana. B. andreettae is endemic to Ecuador and was obtained from a Peruvian vendor.
