Finding
SITF has determined this plant to be Bulbophyllum farreri (Red Color Group), not Bulbophyllum trongquyetii var. bicolor (Oct 2025). B. trongquyetti has completely smooth lateral sepals (glabrous) and shows distinctly orange color. Bulbophyllum farreri has an intense red color vs. red-orange of B. trongquyetii and densely papillose lateral sepals vs. sparsely papillose or glabrous lateral sepals of B. trongquyetii. This plant is intensely red in color and densely papillose which fits B. farreri.
