Finding
Cattleya sincorana, award 20114615, has been confirmed to be Cattleya sincorana by SITF (August 2011). C. sincorana 'Falstaff' HCC/AOS 76 pts., award number 20114615, San Diego. This was challenged at judging by one of the judges that it might be of hybrid origin - most likely a Mini Purple. It is clearly the species C. sincorana as evidenced by the keels in the throat of the lip and general shape and habit of the flowers and plant. The lip is distinctly trilobed which distinguishes it from dayana/pumila/spectabilis and there are five distinct keels that terminate at the point of attachment of the midlobe to the sidelobes. Those along with the lack of sheath and strongly keeled leaf are diagnostic features. There were additional images at one time on this site, but they apparently have disappeared.
