SITF confirms this plant as Encyclia leucantha (Mar 2026). "This plant came from a well known grower in Colombia as E. leucantha, a local species. Angel Vale Gonzalez, a well known Encyclia expert from Cuba, who now lives in Colombia, stated this plant is E. leucantha. This species is similar to E. amicta also from Colombia. This plant is very similar to the E. leucantha on the IOSPE website, including the club shaped apices of the petals.
