SITF confirms this plant as Epidendrum wrightii (Jun 2026). Identification was confirmed by Claude Hamilton of Hamlyn Orchids (Jamaica). According to Claude this plant is Epidendrum wrightii. He said, "I remember collecting the species from a tree in East Central Cuba. The Cuban Taxonomist, Dr. Angel Vale Gonzalez, was present and identified the species. I have been breeding this species for over 25 years." The key characteristic is the flower color and the heart-shaped lip which this plant has.
