SITF confirms this plant as Leptotes tenuis (Aug 2026). There is a similar species in Leptotes pauloensis; however it differs mainly in its different color combination. This plant agrees with prior awards to L. tenuis and is very similar to several photos on the orchidroots.com website. It also closely matches several photos on the Marni Turkel Mostly Species website.

Eleven slightly cupped flowers and nine buds on ten erect to semi-arching, terete, brown inflorescences 0.1 cm wide x 1.7 cm long, plant 10.0 cm wide x 6.0 cm tall growing in a plastic pot with small bark covered with green sheet moss; leaves 0.5 cm wide x 5.0 cm long, erect, subulate, conduplicate, folded inward, green, coriaceous with smooth margins; sepals and petals lanceolate, margins smooth and slightly recurved at apex, cream overlaid very light yellow; lip trilobed, midlobe flabellate, porrect, margins erose and undulate, cream with purple blush on basal one half, pale yellow distal one half, callus pale yellow, side lobes ovate, cupped, porrect, margins entire, cream with pale purple venation; column terete, 0.2 cm wide x 0.3 cm long, pale green, anther cap oval, blushed light lavender; ovary 0.1 cm wide x 1.7 cm long, terete, green brown, ribbed on lateral sides; substance firm; texture matte; species from S/SE Brazil; commended for growing habit on long inflorescences with flowers held above foliage, and all inflorescences blooming with two flowers or a flower and a bud; identified by (name).
