Finding
SITF confirms this plant as Octomeria ventii (Sep 2025). Ackerman recognizes only one species of Octomeria from anywhere in the Greater Antilles and that is O. ventii. There are two other species he believes to be species of Atopoglossum and that genus is distinguished from Octomeria by their racemose inflorescences. This plant fits his detailed description. This plant is an exact match to the O. ventii photo in the IOSPE.
