SITF has confirmed this plant as Oncidium chasei (Jan 2023); a key characteristic of O. chasei is the minute white hairs on the crest, as this plant shows when the photos are greatly enlarged; correctly named based on the shape of the lip as detailed as Cochlioda chasei in the description contained in Icones Orchidacearum Peruvearum; matches Benn. & Christenson's line drawing as Cochlioda chasei in the IOSPE.
