SITF has determined this plant to be Phalaenopsis tetraspis f. christiana, not f. imperatrix (Sep 2026). The difference between the two is that f. imperatrix has a solid, uniform cover of deep red or purplish-red on the sepals and sepals and f. christiana has an unpredictable mix of solid red and white parts, as does this flower. Orchidroots.com has a number of supporting photos of P. tetraspis f. christiana that show the unpredictable nature of this forma.
