I have been growing orchids now over 40 years. I am a certified Orchid Judge and treasurer for

the Chicago Judging Center. I am also past President of the Mid America Orchid Congress as

well as past President of my local society Batavia, Illinois. I am immediate Past President of the

AOS and serve on the executive committee, Library and Governance committees, and still

continue to serve on the Education committee working on the very successful Webinar program.

After retiring from Healthcare Consulting, my other interests include history and travel, cooking

and singing with the Michigan Latvian Chorale and we travel for multiple events. I have traveled

to Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia (Medellin judging during

their Festival of the Flowers) Africa and the Kenyan Orchid Show and recently to the World

Orchid Conference in Dresden, Germany in March of 2026, as well as many shows here in the

states.
