J&L Orchids turns 50 years old in July!  Marguerite Webb and Cordelia Head treat us to the history of this venerable nursery located in Easton, Connecticut and its view to the future under its third set of owners.  Art Chadwick and his father continue their series on United States First Ladies and their namesake cattleyas with an installment this month on Rhyncholaeliocattleya Melania Trump and Philip Seaton treats us to the Colombian native Cattleya quadricolor.  Rounding out the July issue, Carol Zakahi treats us to an historical perspective on orchids, and Vanilla planifolia in particular, on the big island of Hawaii.
