Finding

SITF confirms this plant as Acriopsis densiflora (Aug 2026). There are only about nine species in this Genus and the only similar species would be A. ridleyi, but that species has a notably pubescent lip midlobe which is absent in this plant. The plant is an excellent match to a previous CBR and the lip characteristics, plant habit, inflorescence and flower density from which it gets its name are all good matches to A. densiflora.

Fifteen stellate flowers and 12 buds on an upright inflorescence up to 13 cm, two slightly immature inflorescences with 20 buds and three additional very immature inflorescences on a plant that is 15 cm by 10 cm in a 10 cm ceramic pot with sphagnam moss; dorsal sepal hooded and petals chatreuse spotted cranberry; lateral sepals fused, hooked chartreuse spotted cranberry; lip light pink, much narrower distally; column burgundy, anther cap cream; substance firm; texture waxy.
