Finding
SITF confirms this plant is Dendrobium naungmungense (Oct 2026). If the lip had opened flat, this flower would closely match the Den. naungmungense photo shown in the PhytoKeys 2018 Jan 29;(94):31–38. doi: 10.3897/phytokeys.94.21337 article, "Dendrobium naungmungense (Orchidaceae, Dendrobieae), a new species from Kachin State, Myanmar". There are two species which are similar, D. vexibile and D. ciliatilabellum. The lip of D. vexibile is quite pointed without the undulations in this flower and it has a three-keeled crest. The lip of D. ciliatilabellum has a tuft of dense hairs on the epichile that are missing on this flower.
