Finding

SITF confirms this plant as Calanthe arisanensis (Sep 2026). SITF originally cleared this as not C. arisanensis; however, with a reexamination of the key from the "Orchids of China"; this plant does in fact key to C. arisanensis. The description in the "Orchids of Taiwan" describes some villous hairs inside the spur and column, which can't be seen in these photos, but based on the available images of C. arisanensis and the key in the "Orchids of China", this plant is correctly awarded as C. arisanensis.
