Finding
SITF has determined this plant to be Calanthe sylvatica, not Calanthe sinica (Oct 2026). This plant closely matches a recent award to Calanthe sinica, which SITF determined was also Calanthe sylvatica, #20261014. The foliage of this plant is not pubescent as is C. sinica, the lip crest is warty and the midlobe of the lip is mucronate; characteristics which separate C. sylvatica from C. sinica. This is a good match to the photo of C. sylvatica on the Kew/POWO website.
