Finding
SITF confirms this plant as Calopogon barbatus (Jan 2026). The plant is an excellent match to the photos of C. barbatus in the POWO and the IOSPE. It is supported by photos in the orchidroots.com. The flower size is in range and it matches the Description, drawing and key in Luer's "The Native Orchids of Florida" with the Dorsal sepal less than 2 cm long and the petals widest below the middle. It is similar to C. tuberosus, but smaller in plant size and flower size.

Two flowers and six buds on two upright basal inflorescence plus one immature inflorescence on a plant(s) tubular(s), leaf 0.2 cm wide by 10 cm long growing in a 10.25-inch ceramic pot in 50% peatmoss and 50% silica sand, covered with sundews and sphagnum moss; zygomorphic, non-resupinate flower, sepals and petals light magenta; dorsal sepal broadly lanceolate; lateral sepals deltoid; petals sub-oblong, lip trilobed, hinged, white, side lobes porrect, midlobe deltoid, overlaid light magenta, central yellow osmophores, central apex tuberculate; column spatulate, overlaid darker magenta, anther cap cream with red halo; substance firm; texture slightly crystalline; awarded for hybridizing potential and horticultural value.
