Finding
SITF has determined this plant to be Gongora quinquenervis, not Gongora claviodora; this plant does not match the inflorescence length or the fragrance of G. claviodora, which is strongly clove scented; Dr. Gunter Gerlach, Botanical Garden Munich, Dept. of Science, stated this was definitely not G. claviodora; the exhibitor on examining Equagenera's catalog found the plant sent to them actually matches G. quinquenervis; the inflorescence matches G. quinquenervis, as well as supporting photos in the OW, IOSPE and orchidroots.com; color is variable with many color forms.
