SITF confirms this plant as Ophrys fusca subsp. iricolor (Sep 2024). This plant is a close match to the Ophrys fusca subsp. iricolor photo in the Kew POWO. It is an excellent match to the photos and description in Philip Delforge's "Orchids of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East", 2006. This flower is within the acceptable size of Ophrys fusca subsp. iricolor and matches the illustrations and photos, in Williams and Arlott's 1978 "Orchids of Britain and Europe" and in Buttler's 1991 "Field Guide to Orchids of Britain and Europe".
