SITF has determined this plant to be Podochilus lucescens, not P. khasianus (Sep 2026). The flowering habit of P. khasianus is in clusters of two to four flowers and is not sequential, as this plant is. The plant habit and leaves of both P. khasianus and P. lucescens are very similar. Flowers also are similar. The inflorescence of P. lucesens (1.5 to 2cm.) fits this plant better (1.1cm) than the 0.3 to 0.5cm of P. khasianus. These flowers also appear to have the distinctive purple/ pink spots on the sidelobes, characteristic of P. lucescens.
