Finding

Sitf confirms that this plant is Bulbophyllum sicyobulbon (Aug 2024). With the correction in the Vertical N.S. to 1.0 cm and a correction in the synsepal by comparison to .6-.8 cm, this plant matches sicyobulbon better than the alternatives. The wings on the column of this plant matches B. sicyobulbon as does the bi-tips on apex of the synsepal and the three veins on the reverse side of the dorsal sepal. This plant is a close match to the Baker and Baker description of B. sicyobulbon in the OW.

One thousand six hundred twenty flowers and 190 buds on 19 inflorescences to 23.5 cm, plus five immature inflorescences, on a 58-cm wide by 34-cm tall plant grown in a 23-cm clay pot; leaves lanceolate 3.5 cm wide by 17 cm long; flowers pale yellow; dorsal sepal ovate, spotted maroon prominent on posterior surface; lateral sepals lanceolate, fused, spotted maroon; petals minute, maroon; lip ovate blushed maroon; column white, anther cap yellow; substance medium; texture matte.
