and one bud on five axial inflorescences produced on diminutive 8.5-cm plant
grown in 5-cm pot; alternate lanceolate leaves 2.9-cm long, hard, minutely
papillose; flowers white; substance hard; texture crystalline; recognized for
charming, diminutive growth habit within a remarkably diverse genus; species
native to Madagascar; identified by Philip Cribb.
