Twenty-four strikingly colored, tubular flowers and 70 buds borne on 10 branched, congested, imbricate, compressed conical inflorescences and an additional 10 emerging inflorescences borne on a robust, 11-growth plant grown in a sphagnum moss mix in a 10 cm square plastic mesh basket; upright growths 0.3 cm in diameter up to 55 cm in length; alternating, loosely imbricate leaves elliptical, emarginate, 1.3 cm wide by 3.7 cm long, up to 50 per growth, are borne on 1.0 cm sheathing petioles; sepals and petals deep indigo blue, lateral sepals joined at base to form a mentum enclosing the lip; lip light indigo blue; apically curled under, apical margin finely serrate; column white; anther cap dark indigo blue; substance firm; texture matte; recognized for unusual color and inflorescence habit; native to the Philippines; confirmed by SITF
