Bulbophyllum

Finding

SITF concurs with the Challenge that this is not Bulbophyllum coriophorum, but is Bulbophyllum graveolens (Jul 2026). The photo in OP, which is umbellate, does not agree with the photos of B. coriophorum. A mistake occurred when the Genus Cirrhopedilum was folded into the Genus Bulbophyllum and there were two species, an existing Bulbophyllum coriophorum and Cirr. coriophorum (umbellate), which was subsequently transferred to B. graveolens. This plant is umbellate and was mistakenly moved to B. coriophorum, instead of B. graveolens. This plant is definitely a match for B. graveolens, not B. coriophorum.

Picture in OrchidPro does NOT agree with picture in "Field Guide to the Orchids of Madagascar" [FGOM] (Cribb and Hermans). Based on my limit knowledge a possible choice for the name of this plant is Bulb. graveolens.

The header photo is the OrchidPro picture. (NOTE: From description; "... awarded as Bulbophyllum robustum, currently recognized by (WCSP) as Bulbophyllum coriophorum (Mar 2022).") (19820685)

The first photo downloaded in the general section (has label 32.25 in lower left corner) is the photo from FGOM. Clearily a VERY different flower from the award picture.

The next photo is a KEW specimen sheet for Bulb. coriophorum, supports FGOM picture.

FYI, with my limited knowledge of Bulbophyllum the picture in OrchidPro most closely resembles Bulb. graveolens. There are 26 award pictures in OrchidPro, with 'Windy Hill Stinker' (20251364) looking quite similar to the Bulb. coriophorum currently in OrchidPro.
