Dendrobium-laterale-2020-02-27Confirmed as Dendrobium laterale (Jun 2020); this plant, although not exact, is a close fit to the D. laterale description in L.O. Williams, American Orchid Society Bulletin 9: 272 (1941); the key characteristic of D. laterale, which matches this plant, is in the inflorescence and pseudobulbs; the inflorescences are basal; arising from the very base of the pseudobulbs, this is unique and not known to occur in any other species of Dendrobium.
