SITF has determined this plant to be Encyclia viridiflora (Jul 2025). This plant was submitted as Encyclia marxiana; however, Kew POWO lists E. marxiana as synonymous with E. viridiflora. The dense panicle, not much longer than the leaves, and the haphazard arrangement of the flowers fits E. viridiflora, as does the shape of the lip.
