Finding
SITF has determined that this plant is Epidendrum physodes, not Epidendrum physodes (Oct 2025). The shape of the lip which incircles the column does not match E. physodes. That feature, the recurved petals and sepals and the form of the callus of this plant fit the related species E. macroclinium. This plant matches Hagsater's Drawing of Epi. macroclinium in the Icones Orchidacearum 13, plate 1353 and Hagsater's Photo in the IOSPE.
