Lepanthes uxoria 'Pleurothallidan' CBR 2025-07-22

Finding
SITF confirms this plant as Lepanthes uxoria (Apr 2026). This plant matches Lepanthes uxoria on orechidroots.com. It is an excellent match to Luer's illustration in Icones Pleurothalidinarum XIV. Luer describes this species as easily recognized by the small convex leaf with the flower borne beneath; yellow, minutely denticulate sepals; orange forked petals; and a lip having a saccate appendix with a ciliated protruding apex. The petal form does look somewhat shallower on this plant than in other photos which also show a tooth-like projection in the center of the petals that is difficult to see in these photos. Flower color and size agrees with L. uxoria.
