Marc Hachadourian took the flower for the SITF to work with - Only one photo, taken by Charles Marden Fitch, came through to my attention. Also, not convinced about two things cited on SITF form or in description - width of petal seems excessive based on other proportions and the point from which the inflorescence arises seems odd for an otherwise monopodial plant. One charming, slightly stellate, sweetly fragrant flower arising from the rhizome of a monopodial, two growth, 11.0 cm terete leaved 16 cm by 11 cm plant mounted on a 12 cm tall x 5 cm wide cork plaque; sepals and petals white overlaid light lavender, deeper lavender apically; lip trilobed, white overlaid lavender, distinct lavender markings on side lobes, central lobe extends backwards and tapers into a nectary; substance firm; texture crystalline; native to the Yunnan region of China; confirmed by SITF
